Follow-up Comment #38, bug #31468 (project octave):

Do all of these label objects ({x,y,z}ticklabel, text, title, any others? 
What about {x,y,z}label?) work the same way in Matlab with respect to the data
they accept and the appaerent representation as either char or cellstr?  For
example, can you pass a numeric array or a cell array of numbers to title the
same as you can text?

I can probably write the class.  I might be able to have a first draft by
tomorrow.  If I can't do it by Monday, it will be at least another week before
I can do it.
