Follow-up Comment #2, bug #34656 (project octave):

I checked in the following change:

We might be able to eliminate the max_neg variable in graphics.cc now, but I
didn't do that yet.

I notice that with gnuplot,


loglog ([0, -Inf])


does not display a lower limit on the Y axis.  It is there with OpenGL+FLTK.
