URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?34765> Summary: can't index scalar in anonymous functions Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: carandraug Submitted on: Mon 07 Nov 2011 01:06:09 AM GMT Category: None Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Incorrect Result Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 3.4.3 Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi if in an anonymous function tries to index a scalar it returns a error. Here's a simple example to replicate the problem: octave> k = 1; in = 0; foo = @(x) in(x); foo (k); error: can't perform indexing operations for scalar type Back in octave 3.2.4 this worked fine and returned the expected result '0'. This is also the result obtained in at least MatLab R2001b.
