Follow-up Comment #2, bug #35159 (project octave):
Below is the result from octave 3.4.3 on MacOS X 10.6 using MacPorts. No
crash, but an error message is displayed:
error: memory exhausted or requested size too large for range of Octave's
index type -- trying to return to prompt
