Follow-up Comment #14, bug #35187 (project octave): First of all, thanks Mark for these detailed descriptions and digging! I think I jut found a work around... Trying your tests I looked for makeinfo.exe files in my computer and discovered I had a 4.6 version in a very old dj203 install of mine. I copied it in the octave install folder: C:OctaveOctave3.4.3_gcc4.5.2msysbin in place of the makeinfo 4.13 originally provided in Octave and now the help works. This work around seems to be the simpler way, but I don't know how reliable this change is regarding the other usages of makeinfo.exe made by Octave.
