Details:
polar() and plot3() depend upon __plt__ in the same manner that plot(),
loglog(), semilogx(), and semilogy() do, but do not accept the same syntax as
these other functions.
Can polar()/plot3() be modified to support the syntax below ?
polar(..., propname, propvalue)
