Follow-up Comment #1:
Confirmed on a recent tip (4/5/12). It seems that support for TextureMap was
somehow dropped between 3.4.3 and 3.6.0. As this is a regression I have
marked the bug important which guarantees it will block the 3.8.0 release
until fixed. Someone may get to it sooner and produce a patch on the stable
3.6 series.
