Follow-up Comment #31, bug #35852 (project octave):

I've built Octave 3.6.2 including the attached patch with MSVC++ 2008
compiler. I can confirm that your patch fixes the bug, at least with the
testcases mentioned on this page.
>From looking at the code, it seems ok. I can only comment on the code changes
though, not on all the dependencies and consequences in Octave.
