Follow-up Comment #1:

Isn't this the expect behavior?  According to the documentation for clear,
'clear all' does the following:


`-all, -a'
          Clears all local and global user-defined variables and all
          functions from the symbol table.


All functions from the symbol table would include subfunctions.
