Follow-up Comment #18, bug #37031 (project octave):
With this configure.ac it compiles fine.
I now get errors with my own MEX files:
failed to load: libcruft.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory
but I guess it is not related and might be a consequence of the 'make
maintainer-clean' so I'm going to recompile my MEX files.
