Follow-up Comment #1:

The problem seems to be that your gnuplot version is not being correctly set.

Could you check whether you have gnuplot installed?

Assuming you do, what does 'gnuplot --version' print out when typed at a shell
prompt.

And finally, do ./run-octave --no-gui in the development sources and try the
following.


cd scripts/plot/private
__gnuplot_version__


What is that returning?
