Follow-up Comment #1:
delay is a function from the OF package system-identification. It may have its
own problem. Can you confirm that you get a crash without this function?
Does Windows give you any information about the crash or just some
uninformative Windows message like "this program has performed an illegal
operation"?
Which Octave build are you using?
