Follow-up Comment #4, bug #37755 (project octave):
To expand, if the 32-bit binary were reporting a 64-bit architecture, you
might be confused why this binary cannot allocate more than 2 gigs of memory.
I'm not sure, I suppose we could make arch try to figure out what the OS is at
runtime instead of at compile time, but then you would end up with slightly
misleading results.
I think you would be happier getting a 64-bit build of Octave for Windows and
recommending people using 64-bit Windows to install this instead.
