Follow-up Comment #11, bug #37928 (project octave):
Following Jordi's post I tested the C locale in octave-main-thread.cc and it
works for me regardless the locale's preset (german or french).
Pantxo (and maybe others with a non-en locale), could you please test the
attached patch?
