Thanks for reporting.
Luckily, this has already been fixed in svn a week or so ago.
The underlying bug (as this bug really is about a misformed warning message)
is harmless, in that the Java class libs needed for spreadsheet I/O won't be
automagically added to the javaclasspath so you'll have to do that manually
(or try to invoke chk_spreadsheet_support.m) each time Octave starts.
You can also try to remove PKG_ADD from
<octave_install_dir>/lib/octave/packages/io-1.2.0/i686-pc-mingw32-api-48+ and
move it to <octave_install_dir>/share/octave/packages/io-1.2.0
IMO postinstall.m is a fragile piece of code and might better be replaced by
some stanzas in .octaverc anyway.
An update of the io package is due one of these days.
