Follow-up Comment #1:
To clarify, do you mean that __secure_getenv no longer exists in glibc 2.17?
Octave does not actually call __secure_getenv directly, only indirectly
through gnulib. This issue should be reported to gnulib upstream and we can
pull the fix into our copy of gnulib.
