Details:

If a file in the octave editor is renamed outside of octave, the gui notices
this and asks the user what to do: "Do you want to save it now?":

If I click "Save" octave behaves as exspected and saves the file.

If I click "Close", the octave gui just exits without any sign of an error
message (neither on stdout nor on stderr).
