I think Pi comes from the symbolic package. What does
which Pi
tell you?
Are you attempting to do symbolic computations, or do you really want to just
do numerical computations? If numerical, then use pi, not Pi, and maybe
uninstall the symbolic package.
In any case, my understanding is that they symbolic package mostly does not
work properly. If you really need to do symbolic calculations, then you would
probably be better off using something other than Octave.
Or perhaps you would like to help fix the symbolic package?
