octave default fd5a4b7f59f7

surfl(peaks)
A(I,J,...): index to dimension 1 out of bounds; value 61 out of bound 1

This triggers the bug https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?39240 but the
attached patch removes the unnecessary normalisation so that 39240 is not
triggered.
