Thank you for the report. As part of the ongoing move in Octave Forge to use
mercurial, I have earlier today converted the symbolic package. It can be
found at

https://sourceforge.net/p/octave/symbolic/ci/default/tree/

Do you think you could provide a changeset with the proposed change?
