fixes the issue on my system (ubuntu). The terminal already aborted a command
with the copy shortcut but this was configured to ctrl+shift+c up to now. Just
configuring to the right shortcut ctrl+c solved the problem.

I am leaving the report open until the fix is confirmed on other systems.
