Awesome.  I pushed your changeset
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/359c5ca795cd) after removing a
few '^M' characters at the end of some lines.  I gather you were working in a
mixed UNIX/DOS environment.

Since I don't do GUI code that much, what is the consensus about changing the
window focus?  The doc command now opens up a tab in the Documentation Window.
 But the focus still remains in the Command Window so it appears as if the
command did nothing until you switch to the Documentation Window.
