Follow-up Comment #15, bug #39305 (project octave):

Yes, let's keep the discussion about whether the interrupt from Ctrl-C breaks
out of loops, long operations, or system calls to bug #37672, there are more
details there.

AFAICT, Torsten's second patch fully fixes the context switching between
copy/paste and readline in the terminal widget based on the contents of the
clipboard.

I'm not sure about the spurious ^V reported in comment #11, but I can't test
on Windows. I was getting spurious ^V with the first version of the patch, but
the second one fixed that.
