test imread
warning: your version of GraphicsMagick limits images to 8 bits per pixel
octave(20194,0x7fff74e44960) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fff75650860:
pointer being freed was not allocated
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
Looks like a recent regression, but after a quick glance, I didn't identify a
likely changeset
