Follow-up Comment #2, bug #39776 (project octave):
Your bug report is a bit incomplete. What would be the expected output of your
test?
Anyway, this bug was fixed, but only for the development version (expected
3.8.x or greater). So no, 3.6.4 doesn't have the fix yet. That was outlined
(but maybe too cryptic for you) in that very bug #38146 report.
FYI, using a development "tip" of Aug. 12 evening (yesterday; sorry I'm not on
Linux where I cross-built Octave for Windows so I can't check hg summary) I
get this:
>> cax = newplot()
cax = -1.0013
>> fAngle = get(cax, 'DefaultTextFontAngle')
fAngle = normal
