Update of bug #39692 (project octave):
Category: Plotting => Plotting with OpenGL
Summary: text(....'backgroundcolor','green') has no effect =>
text objects ignore backgroundcolor, linestyle, edgecolor

Follow-up Comment #2:
Gnuplot doesn't support placing text in a box. And since we don't have access
to the font metrics used by Gnuplot, I think that falls in to the "won't
fix".
However, we do need to include this functionality for the OpenGL toolkits.
So, I'm changing the category to "Plotting with OpenGL".
