Follow-up Comment #12, bug #39828 (project octave): I don't care much either way. I'm just concerned that if a user already has an m-file that produces some pretty graph and labels it, then they should be able to run that in Octave. Asking users to search and replace "\\circ" with "\\deg" isn't very convenient.
