[Octave-bug-tracker] The \circ issue (sorry) bugs ##39828 and 39837

Have you followed the bug reports (#39828 and 39837) on \circ?
Michael Goffioul said he preferred to define \circ as \circ, but felt
obligated to mimic Matlab's error.

In this case, this choice will cause considerable trouble since there
is now no way to produce \circ.  But, also, it seems to me that as
a matter of principle Octave should not implement errors found in
Matlab.  We should be able to say that in order to avoid errors in
Matlab one might try Octave, not have to say that you will find all the same
errors there.

In any case, it might be good if you indicated some guidelines for cases
like this.
