[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #39896] building development snapshot fails without flex

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #39896 (project octave):

In the 3.7.6 tar file that I created, I see the following files in the corefcn
directory:


-rw-r--r-- 1 jwe jwe  5270 Aug 19 17:29 oct-tex-parser.yy
-rw-r--r-- 1 jwe jwe  2875 Aug 19 17:29 oct-tex-lexer.ll
-rw-r--r-- 1 jwe jwe  3173 Aug 20 16:21 oct-tex-parser.h
-rw-r--r-- 1 jwe jwe 59119 Aug 20 16:21 oct-tex-parser.cc
-rw-r--r-- 1 jwe jwe 62081 Aug 20 16:21 oct-tex-lexer.cc


and my build does not run flex or bison to regenerate these files.

How did you create the dist file (in or out of the source tree, in a fresh
clone, etc.)?

What are the timestamps for these files in the tar file you created?
