Follow-up Comment #13, bug #39698 (project octave):

Ok. So my theory is since fwrite() behaves differently in machines with
different architectures, the test was writing different files. Could you send
me the tmp.png that you system writes to test on mine? If this is indeed the
cause of the problem, I'm guessing it can be fixed by specifying the
architecture on fopen and fwrite.
