Follow-up Comment #2, bug #39925 (project octave):

This is likely something that has been introduced recently with Carne's work
on the image commands.  I just checked and it doesn't occur in 3.6.4 so this
is a regression.

Muhali, could you use 'hg bisect' to track down which changeset created the
problem?
