Follow-up Comment #4, bug #34502 (project octave):

Yeah I saw the flintmax alias but unfortunately the MATLAB docs say that the
return value is different from the now-deprecated bitmax. I'll take care of
all of these issues if neither of you beat me to it.

Back to this bug, any comments on my patch?
