Follow-up Comment #12, bug #40450 (project octave):

works for me - there is a typo in the question dialog text and it prints out
'create_file'

If it is changed to use the octave-qt-link, it should be able to use the
preferences setting  again to determinate whether to prompt ?(for those who
don't like the prompt)
