Follow-up Comment #17, bug #37672 (project octave):

I just tried the latest fixes from John.
But, for Fedora 19, they seem not to work.
Now, running sleep(2) in any form results
in ctrl-c not being handled at all.

I tried:
octave:3> system("sleep 20")
^C^C^Cans = 0
octave:4> sleep(2)
^Coctave:5> sleep(20)
^C^C^C^Coctave:6> 
octave:6> system("sleep 20")
^C^C^C^Cans = 0
octave:7> 
=============================
Before, 2 ctrl-c's worked.  So, this fix
is a regression.  Getting interrupts to work
right is one of serious problems in today's
popular systems.

But, for Fedora linux at least, reverting this
latest set of patches would be better.
