Follow-up Comment #1, bug #40618 (project octave):
Attached is a patch that will center the Octave Community News window whenever
it is shown. With this configuration if the user closes the OCN window after
having moved it, the next time "Community News" is selected from the menu the
OCN window will reappear centered. (If the OCN window is just being raised,
it will not be centered.)
I prefer this version. But I will attach a second version that only centers
the window upon creation.
