Follow-up Comment #13, bug #40607 (project octave):
I was beginning to wonder the same thing when I saw the flintmax docs says:
On IEEE-754 compatible systems, 'flintmax' is 2^53 for "double".
My original comment showed that the uint64 issue exists for everything down to
uint64(2)^54-1, but uint64(2)^53-1 worked.
Why only occurs in the GUI?
