Follow-up Comment #8, bug #40600 (project octave): I disagree on making things clear on the documentation. Having a default text editor is such a simple thing that should not require documentation at all. There should be one, and only one, default text editor that is used by Octave. And changing that value should change it for all of Octave. Why would different functions require different text editors?
