Follow-up Comment #9, bug #40823 (project octave):
more info!!
If I use windows tab and select the default settings then all is OK
If I then un-dock the editor it still is OK
The problem only shows up after:
- detach the editor
- shut down octave
- restart octave
now the problem is evident.
If I keep it docked but in a different location then all is OK
