Follow-up Comment #3, bug #41028 (project octave):
I think I would prefer something like the attached patch.
It seems to me that the "warning on|off|query quiet" feature is not needed if
the warning id and message are still set when warning is "off". I'm inclined
to deprecate this feature and remove it in the future. I don't think that it
was ever documented, so maybe we could just remove it.
