Michael,

I just tried several scripts which did
lots of figure(k) calls, using devel
system on fedora 20 x86_64.

After hundreds of calls, with and without drawnow()'s,
I could not cause any problem.

So, this could be an OS X specific problem.

Sorry.

Could anyone else with an OS X system try some tests?
