Update of bug #41304 (project octave):
Status: None => Confirmed
Summary: Octave GUI in VNC => Octave GUI in VNC
produces many Xlib warnings in the command window

Follow-up Comment #1:
Confirming and retitling to be more explicit about the problem.
Actually I just ran another Qt application, qtconfig-qt4, in the same VNC and
it generates the same Xlib warnings about BadDrawables.
Basically the existence of the warning messages looks like a Qt library
problem, for them to either solve or not. What makes it especially annoying in
Octave is that stderr of the GUI goes to the command window so it shows up in
the GUI itself. With most GUIs, stderr would be going to the terminal or to
the ~/.xsession-errors log file.
