Follow-up Comment #9, bug #41699 (project octave):

It might be appropriate to close this as the bug doesn't seem to be related
(at least directly) to imrotate and is more likely related to imread.

The odd part though is that imread by itself is not sufficient to cause the
segmentation violation.

It is interesting in one of my scripts, I make multiple calls to imread and
imrotate. When the script terminates normally, I don't get a segmentation
violation error when exiting Octave. BUT if I add a return statement
immediately after the first call to imread, the script terminates without
error but when I exit Octave, I get the segmentation violation error.
