Follow-up Comment #1, bug #41757 (project octave):

I can confirm this only when the editor is tabbed behind the console window. 

The debugged function is automatically shown in the editor with a marker at
the actual breakpoint. At a dbnext the editor is shown without focus (even it
was hidden before) and if the editor is tabbed behind the console this leads
to the flashing since the console keeps the focus.

Should we tile the both windows in this case (if possible) or make the editor
floating?
