Follow-up Comment #21, bug #41337 (project octave):

Thanks for the clarifications. The arrow keys do indeed work if I also apply
mac_layout2.patch. 

Both test1 and test2 worked as you expected. 

I would say that any final patch should be tweaked to move the interrupt
command back to CTRL-C. Mac users will have significant muscle memory trained
on CMD-C being exclusively for text copy, and of course CTRL-C is the
interrupt key in the UNIX shell and in MATLAB's GUI as well.
