Follow-up Comment #3, bug #41691 (project octave):
We build octave packages in Fedora by unpacking the tarball and then running,
e.g.:
octave -H -q --no-window-system --no-site-file --eval 'pkg build
-verbose /tmp/rpm/octave-ncarray-1.0.2-1.fc20.x86_64
/export/home/orion/redhat/octave-ncarray-1.0.2/ncArray'
In this code path it lowercases the package name but doesn't lowercase the
source directory name.
