Follow-up Comment #6, bug #41217 (project octave): I can confirm the conflicting shortcut issue but there was no conflict in my test: actually I had set "Main:Edit:Find in Files" (Ctrl+X is not defined in the Main menu) not "Editor:Edit:Find File" (which can't currently be set) and was trying the shortcut while the terminal had focus.
