Follow-up Comment #3, bug #42060 (project octave):
Did you use the Options|Save as EMF file dialog from the Gnuplot window
itself?
I've seen .png mentioned in the resulting file dialog, but AFAIK gnuplot can
only reliably save EMF files.
That does work for me.
