Follow-up Comment #14, bug #42097 (project octave): Could you grep -i Octave's source code for ZGEEV and add some printf-debugging commands in there to see if you're getting the back same values as what you got from your standalone program? Or if you're knowledgeable enough, can you put a breakpoint at that location and run Octave under gdb? Also check with ldd that your standalone program and the Octave binary are linked to the same libraries. I'm sorry, but you really are going to have to do your own debugging here.
