Follow-up Comment #1, bug #42143 (project octave):

This seems just a matter of changing the default value to 0. Does:


imrotate (eye (10), -40, "nearest", "loose", 0)


works as in Matlab?

The only reason I see for this difference would be consistency with interp2/3
but Matlab compatibility would be a priority now.

If you submit a patch for this, could you please also change the similar
functions that are also using NA? I can see at least imremap and
imperspectivewrap.
