Thanks for reporting.
This part of the scripts was never adequately tested because all my own mxe
builds do have Java support built in. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have rough fixes ready, but I want to include a bit of code simplification
and duplicate code elimination as well (an old & somewhat overdue wish).
